Our New Northern Virginia Data Center!Great news! We'll be expanding our data center presence on the East Coast. Our parent RagingWire formally announced today that we will have a new 140,000 sq. ft. facility in Northern Virginia. It is expected that the new facility will be online in March. Announced in a press release, RagingWire will grow its available data center space to 610,000 square feet nationally with this acquisition. The new facility includes more than 70,000 square feet of raised floor space and is engineered with patent pending N+2 design for all power, cooling, and network systems with concurrent maintainability and fault tolerance. The facility is capable of providing in excess of 14.4 megawatts of critical power with IT load densities exceeding 250 watts per square foot. “We’ve experienced incredible demand from our clients for more capacity and numerous requests for a RagingWire data center on the East Coast,” said Yatish Mishra, president and CEO of RagingWire. “This is an exciting milestone for the company to expand to a national footprint to support our large enterprise, e-commerce, cloud, and social media clients.” RagingWire’s recent growth in Northern California has been dramatic and resulted in four major expansions including the recent opening of a new data center at the company’s Sacramento campus. The latest expansion doubles the size of this campus to 470,000 square feet total and includes a state-of-the-art infrastructure providing industry leading densities of 250 watts per sq. ft. in addition to an N+2 design for all power, cooling, and network systems. "Any company with high profile clientele has to consider expanding its footprint in order extend the redundancy and access points to those customers," commented Antonio Piraino, from Tier 1 Research, a leading data center industry research and analysis firm. “RagingWire is positioning itself to be a worthy national contender with this move. An East Coast facility is a natural location that complements their West Coast presence, and will ignite organic growth, as well as provide new options to other large enterprises that require access to premium facilities on both coasts.” |
